Magic Words Arcanum is a fantasy word game featuring RPG elements. The objective is to form words with the highest score and attain the rank of Arcane Grandmaster.
Words are formed by sliding along letters on the screen. Upon forming a valid word, the tiles of the letters are destroyed. Additional tiles are destroyed as bonus if you are able to form 5-letter words or longer. You clear the stage when all the tiles in the screen have been destroyed.
Learn magic spells to assist in forming longer words. Obtain 4 types of gems to increase a letter's points, as well as open the path for new spells to be learned. Obtain all 6 spells in the game to achieve word mastery. But beware! Monsters spawn from time to time and will attack the player causing loss of health points.

Magic Spells
Learning magic spells is essential to survival in this game. Most spells destroy tiles at which they
are targeted, but the real benefit is the ability to form longer words which not only gives better score,
but yields gem rewards as well as clear up tiles in the grid.
The picture on the left is an example of how to use the Ice Tower spell. The region in red indicates that
there is potential to form to word "REDESIGN", but it is short of the last letters G and N.
By aiming this spell at a suitable target, the unwanted tiles and letters are destroyed, allowing new letters to fill
the empty space and providing a chance to obtain the required letters to form the word.
The spells in the game are:
Stoneskin
Grants 30% protection against physical attacks.
Magic Arrow
Destroys a single letter (for removing a letter from a particular position to obtain the next letter above it)
Ice Tower
Destroys a selected letter and all letters above it (for getting letters you want at a certain position in a word)
Flame Wave
Destroys an entire row of letters (for moving a word to the bottom)
Magic Mirror
Allows 2 adjacent letters to be swapped
Teleport
Allows any 2 letters on the grid to be swapped
Drag 'N Drop Gems
Gems are used to increase the points of a letter on which it is dropped. They are dropped when a 5-letter word
or longer is formed.
For example, a Ruby multiplies the letter points by a factor of 5, while a Diamond multiplies
the points by 20.
Since some of the rare letters have an inherently higher worth of points, it is naturally better
to save the more valuable gems for those letters to maximum the score.
Ranking System
You begin the game with a rank of Neophyte. As you progress further in the game and start forming long words,
your rank increases to match your word prowess.
If you play long enough, you may even reach the rank of Arcane Grandmaster,
the highest and most respected accolade given to a wizard of words.
